Here she is!

Hannah made her arrival on April 29, 2009 at 5:15 PM.  She was 7lb 6oz and 19 inches long.  Taking after her big brother she also had a very large head – 14 inches (the nurse said 13 inches is average and 13 1/2 is considered big so – WOW!!!).  My water broke between 2:30 and 3:00 – I can’t really be sure because I wasn’t sure if that’s what the feeling was or not.  We got to the hospital and were admitted at 6:00 and after around 2-2 1/2 hours of pushing she made her entrance into the world.

So far she has been a FABULOUS baby – sleeping a lot and eating all the time (unfortunately I am not sleeping all the time… and it is quickly coming back to me just how tired I was those first few weeks at home with Blake).  Taking after Blake in other ways she’s had to be under the “tanning” light in the hospital and is also a little glow worm on the light pad at home due to some mild jaundice.  We’re heading to the pediatrician tomorrow morning to get her levels checked again and hoping that we won’t have to be attached to the light box after today.

When I look at her it’s hard not to compare her to Blake – they definitely look like siblings – but I also try and pick out what’s different about her.

Blake has been a GREAT big brother.  He’s been very gentle with Hannah – even sitting on the couch next to my mom while she was holding the baby and stroking Hannah’s hair.  SO cute!  He’s been really thrown off his schedule by all of the excitement so I’m hoping that over the weekend we can get things back to normal – or at least to a new normal for our house.

As promised here’s a compilation of pictures:

(And according to WordPress – this is Post #100, so WHOOPEEEEEE.)
